The Eye Exam
eye-bar opticians and sunglass specialists believes that everyone should receive regular eye health examinations by an optometrist or ophthalmologist. Routine eye care is just as important as routine dental examinations. Many eye conditions such as glaucoma or macular degeneration may otherwise go undetected until it it to late. An eye exam is also much more than just a sight test offered by some opticians. This is why our clinic does not participate in free sight testing programs, as we see this to be a disservice to the public with potentially serious visual consequences. Fact: It is illegal to offer sight tests to anyone under the age of 19 or over the age of 65 and sight test results are only provided to customers who purchase their products from that optical. Slight conflict of interest??? So why should anyone 19-64 receive any less care for their eyes? Is their eye health less important? Why should you have to sign a waiver releasing a business from providing sub-optimal vision care? Routine eye examinations from a trained optometrist or ophthalmologist are fast and painless. Remember, you deserve the best eyewear products, therefore you deserve the best eye care!
Currently eye-bar does not offer on-site optometry or ophthalmology services, however we have secured the services of 2 great local area optometrists who can help take care of all your visual needs. You are also more than welcome to use the services of your current optometrist or ophthalmologist and simply bring your new eyeglass prescription to our clinic to be filled. There is no need to quit seeing your current eye doctor in order to benefit from our great optical services.
